Home Game Preparation
Wednesday, September 3, 2008, 11:45 AM - Announcements
Submitted by: Amy Bingham

It's that time again. Our first home game will be this weekend and it takes a lot of effort to make it successful! For any new parents this is how it works. We ask the Cricket parents to come and help set up, cook, wrap burgers and etc. With the crickets having to be there 1 hour early that is the time for you to help.
Cricket parents: set up
Hopper parents: work the Cricket game
Cutter parents: work the Hopper game
Junior parents: work the Cutter game
And the Junior game is usually time to start clean up and a hand full of people will do. It's the first 2 games that are really important to have plenty of help. We ask that there be 6 people working from each team. So make you plans now! Most of our funds come from this, so please help out. I have had a lot of parents to tell me that they would like to help, but they don't want any part of the money. That is OK. If you feel more comfortable flipping burgers or wrapping pizza just communicate to each other! It takes a lot of work and we need a lot of help to make this year successful!!! Trust me, when you get done you will feel like you have made a difference!!! All of our hard work pays off at the end! Thanks to everyone in advance for a great start!

Also we will need volunteers for the chains. So if you can help it would be great!

Please look for your Team Mom on Thursday, they will have a sign up sheet to Volunteer!!!

One last thing...
If anyone has any contacts that would like to contribute to the concession stand please let me know. I have Buddy's donating the cups for our home games. That saves the club almost $100.00. Every dime counts when it comes to "Our Kids"!!!

Thanks again!

The boy or girl who sells the most doughnuts will be crowned King & Queen!! Money for the doughnuts MUST be turned in September 22nd @ the practice field. There will be a table in front of the concession stand for the parents to bring the forms & money to turn in. NO MONEY after this date will be accepted.
If your child wants to walk for homecoming & not sell doughnuts that is also fine. Every child walking will need an escort. The escort must be a member from LCYFO. Any questions contact Shelley or Rachel. There will also be a Homecoming Dance !! More info for the dance coming soon.

Spam Attacks
Friday, August 22, 2008, 09:57 AM - Site News
I have temporarily disabled the automatic commenting feature because there is something in the site engine that is allowing spammers to get past the validation to post spam on the site. You might have noticed "WOW GOLD" comments being posted. They are harmless enough but if they can be posted, then someone might be able to post inappropriate content so I've got to fix it now.

Anyway, you can still post comments. Just use the contact form instead and cite the entry you wish to comment to.

Hopefully I'll get this sorted out shortly.
